In the last 12 months we have made further donations to the value of £30,571.53 to The Christie Bloods Closer to Home project, this takes the total so far this year to £48,753.63
What is the Bloods Closer to Home project?
When cancer patients are dealing with the demands of treatment, small changes can make a huge difference. This service means that patients on drug treatments, who need blood tests prior to treatment and regularly during treatment, can get them done much closer to home rather than making what could be a two hour round trip to The Christie in Withington.
We are delighted to donate these funds to support this wonderful initiative.
We have been donating dormant funds to The Christie for 11 years now and so far have sent over £130,000. Dormant funds are where we cant trace clients to return funds to them, despite using every method to search for them, we then get permission from the SRA to donate these funds to charity. These particular donations come from historical Hague Lambert matters dating back many many years.
It is always an honour and we are always delighted to do this for The Christie because so many of our employees lives have ben touched by their amazing effort and support.
