About me:

I am a solicitor in our Tax, Trusts and Estates Department.

I qualified as a solicitor in 2012 and have specialised in private client work covering wills, probate, trusts, tax, lasting powers of attorney and Court of Protection deputyship work.

Based at our Urmston office. I advise clients on preparing wills and lasting powers of attorneys. Where a client is unable to do this for themselves, I will make applications to the Court of Protection as necessary and ensure this is dealt with in an appropriate manner.

After a loved one dies, sorting out their estate can be an emotional time. My aim is to help clients ensure that the wishes of their loved ones are carried out and that their estate is dealt with in an efficient manner.

Key cases:

  • Helping clients structure their wills to mitigate the amount of care fees they might have to pay in the future.
  • Applying for court of protection deputyship orders to allow the affairs of others to be dealt with where, due to permanent mental incapacity they are unable to do so for themselves meaning their assets can be protected and applied for their benefit in the future.
  • Utilising tools during estate administration to reduce a person’s inheritance tax liability thereby saving money for their family.
