Chafes Hague Lambert tees up support for football club

We were delighted to sponsor a golf day organised by a local junior football club to help raise funds for an essential piece of medical kit.

New Mills Junior FC invited local businesses to participate in the golf tournament at New Mills Golf Club on Friday 21 August to raise funds to purchase a new defibrillator for the club.

The day was a huge success raising £1,100 and means the club can purchase its third defibrillator, making one available at each of its training and match playing centres.

We sponsored the trophies and provided prizes for the junior 9 and 18 hole competitions and prizes for the afternoon adult competition.

The success of the football club’s fundraising unfortunately wasn’t matched by the performance of our golf team on the day.The team, led by our managing partner Jon Roberts, finished in last place but it’s the taking part the counts!

New Mills JFC is an FA Charter Standard club running teams at every age level from U8 to U18 and is hoping to start a girls’ team in the near future. We wish all the teams the best of luck for the season ahead.
