Choosing the right route

Alongside the traditional method of court proceedings, you may want to consider alternative dispute resolution (ADR). This includes mediation, arbitration and adjudication and could be a quicker and cheaper way to resolve a dispute. We will talk you through each of the options and advise you on which route is best suited to your objectives.

If court action is required then your specialist litigation solicitor in our Dispute Resolution team will provide you with all the legal support and advice you need to get you the best possible result.

We have many years’ experience of dealing with disputes about:

  • Contentious probate (including will challenges and Inheritance Act claims).
  • Removal of executors
  • Trusts and attorneys
  • Property (including boundary and rights of way issues)

Managing costs

Your control of legal costs during a dispute is important so we have introduced a flexible approach to our fees. Each case is considered on an individual basis and we will discuss with you the most cost effective approach for your needs. The options include:

  • Hourly rates – linked directly to the experience of each solicitor. You may prefer this option as you will only pay for any work that is carried out.
  • Fixed fees – this option provides you with certainty of cost from the outset and can cover either the whole dispute or pre-defined stages.

No matter which option you choose, our specialist team will provide you with clear and practical advice throughout.
